Non – Chlorine based wash after each milking
Hydra-MIL followed by Cluster Clear
- Wash the outside of the clusters, attach jetters and remove milk filter sock
- Pre-rinse plant thoroughly with 15L of cold water per unit
- Cold Wash: Add 500g of Hydra-MIL powder to 100L of cold water
Hot Wash: Add 300g of Hydra-MIL powder to 100L of hot water (65 – 75 ⁰C) - Circulate the solution throughout the milk line for seven to 10 minutes (the solution may be retained for a second daily wash, but must be discarded
after second wash) - Rinse the plant immediately after the main wash cycle with 15L of cold water per unit
- Ensure the system is drained sufficiently before the next milking
NEVER LEAVE SOLUTION OR WATER IN THE LINE BETWEEN MILKINGS
When using Cluster Clear following main wash
- Following step 4, carry out an intermediate rinse of the milk plant at a rate of 9L of cold water per unit
- Add 100ml of Cluster Clear to 50L of cold water
- Circulate for seven to 10 minutes
- Discard the solution
- Carry out a final rinse, at a rate of 15L of cold water per unit
- Ensure the system is drained sufficiently before the next milking
It is recommended to use Cluster Clear every second day for optimum sterilisation.
